I prefer late night phone calls over daytime phone calls.

I don’t know, everything just seems better at night. Because you can listen to them talk in their sleepy voice. And even though the two of you know that you’re both tired, you still try your best to stay up. And when one of you falls asleep, the other is still awake trying to get you to wake up. Listening to them snore and eventually drifting off feels like the safest thing in the world; because for a split moment, it feels as if they’re right there next to you.
